The I Am Kept Foundation is pleased to announce that the Graham E. Hayes, II Memorial Scholarship program will return for the 2026–2027 academic year.
This announcement represents an important milestone for our organization and the students we serve. Due to limited funding, the Foundation was unable to offer scholarships during the 2025–2026 academic year. Thanks to the generosity of the Phyllis Wheatley Board of Directors of Wichita, Kansas, scholarships will once again be available to students who have experienced the loss of a parent.
The I Am Kept Foundation was established to provide encouragement, support, and educational opportunities to students whose lives have been impacted by the death of a parent. Through the Graham E. Hayes, II Memorial Scholarship, we seek to honor the memory of Graham E. Hayes, II while helping deserving students pursue their educational goals and dreams.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Phyllis Wheatley Board of Directors for their generous contribution and belief in our mission. Their support will help provide financial assistance to students facing challenges that no young person should have to navigate alone.
The Foundation looks forward to opening applications for the 2026-2027 scholarship cycle in the coming months. We encourage prospective applicants, families, educators, and community members to follow our website and social media channels for application announcements, eligibility requirements, and important deadlines.
Together, we can continue to support students who have lost a parent and help them build brighter futures through education.
